Extrusion Defects – Streaking

Extrusion defects such as streaking and surface roughness are studied and analyzed. The root causes of these defects are investigated, and countermeasures are developed to minimize repetitions of these problems. An industry checklist is made to assist with troubleshooting, especially after the anodizing process. Advancements in die design are discussed to help establish preventive measures.
