Management Issues 114 MI Development of Recycling-Friendly Aluminum Alloys for Extruded Products Subodh Das -- Secat, Inc., USA The aluminum industry must develop and implement technologies that maximize the economic and environmental benefits of recycling aluminum alloys. Alloy design for optimizing reuse of recycled metal is highlighted. Several alloy design approaches are proposed. New alloys from recycled scrap are evaluated for their potential to maximize the recycling loop. Options to further capitalize on aluminum recycling advantages are addressed. |
