Alcan R&D and STAS introduce in-line Salt-ACD (Alcan Compact Degasser) technology for in-line metal treatment, using salt flux injection within the ACD area. Chlorine utilization is completely eliminated while maximizing metallurgical performance. Available chlorine-free technologies for molten metal treatment are presented and reviewed, emphasizing the new in-line salt fluxing ACD. |
