PARTICIPANTS DESCRIPTIONS

Spraylat Powder Coatings is a leading supplier of high performance architectural powder coatings. Our products include a 100% fluoropolymer coating branded as NEWLAR™ that performs to AAMA's 2605 specification (American Architectural Manufacturers Association). Powder coatings are environmentally friendly (contain no VOC's like liquid coatings) and contribute towards LEED credits.

The promexObjective measures the highlight conditions of a flat, visibly critical surface, on an aluminum profile directly in the extrusion process. Through an objective optical evaluation, this technology makes an acceptable/not acceptable classification of the extruded surfaces level of reflective distortion at the press, based on a 10-grade-scale. The promexObjective eliminates the guess work of wondering if a flat edge is going to show highlights after it’s painted or anodized, that will make it visibly unacceptable to the end customer.

SECO/WARWICK produces furnace systems for extrusion manufacturing specializing in solution heat treat & aging, ingot heating, log/billet homogenizing, coil/foil/wire annealing and reverb furnaces for aluminum melting and holding.

For extruders of all sizes, Krahe Info Systems, Inc.'s ExtSTAR brings information management to a new level of efficiency, accuracy and value. See the features that set ExtSTAR apart from the competition and make it a leader in bringing innovative capabilities to the extrusion industry, including drag & drop scheduling and new business- to-business facilities that make it easy to track material processed by third parties or consigned to customers.

Foy will provide a brief overview of EPICS, the software used by over 80 extruders worldwide. A typical sales order will be followed from order entry through invoicing. Features such as production posting, rack tracking, stock inventory, and use of hand-held scanners will be shown.

The Aluminum Extruders Council's (AEC) learning management system, AEC-Tech, will offer extruders online courses in a variety of subject areas such as Die Corrector Training, Press Operations, Metallurgy, Safety, and others. Stop by to see an overview of Die Corrector Training.

The Aluminum Anodizers Council (AAC) has developed a series of computer-based presentations that explain the features and benefits of anodized aluminum products and the anodizing process. The presentations were created to help AAC members promote anodizing and its many applications to a wide audience, including architects, specifiers, academia, and various other stakeholders. Anodizing is an excellent finishing option for many different product applications. Learn how anodizing makes aluminum better.
